Community
leaders
of
El
Cisin,
Copan
Department,
Honduras
has
submitted
a
proposal
for
latrines
for
their
community.
The
problem
is
that
the
current
latrine
pits
fill
with
water.
If
the
people
use
these
latrines,
they
contaminate
the
ground
water.
A
concrete,
closed
system
is
being
investigated
that
will
ensure
public
health and safety. There are 45 families in the community of El Cisin.
This
project
is
a
collaborative
effort
of
the
villagers,
the
local
municipality
of
San
Nicholas,
as
well
as
Latin
American
Friends.
Each
group
will
contribute
funds
and
labor
to
accomplish
the
project.
Debora

of
